Management Committee

Galloping Gumnut is run by a Management Committee. Anyone who is a financial member of our Association can be elected to the Committee. Committee members are all volunteers who generously give their time to serve, either in an Executive position (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Public Office) or as a general committee member. The Constitution allows for seven members on the Committee. Committee members are elected at the Annual General meeting that is held in October each year.

The Committee is responsible for the Governance and Management of the Service. There are at least two meetings per term, held either in Lithgow, at the base, or in a location closer to where the majority of members reside. We may also from time to time conduct meetings via non face-to-face methods, for example Zoom and there is also the capacity for members who may not be able to attend a meeting to join via telephone link. Child care and lunch is provided where meetings are held during the day.
